Salice Blu

Salice Blu was established in 1973.

The newly built restaurant was the work of Flora and Mino Gandola, who first opened its doors.

Over recent years, the kitchen has been run by their son, Luigi, with the support of his team of skilled young chefs, whilst his mother, Flora, and aunt, Rosaria, take care of the front of house and bookings.

The Salice Blu restaurant was fully renovated in the winter of 2005. Particular attention was given to the dining areas, creating a stylish, warm and welcoming ambience.

The first thing you notice as you step inside are the numerous medals, awards and trophies that have been won by Chef Luigi in international cookery competitions that he has entered.

The Salice Blu restaurant offers a wide selection of gluten-free dishes and is therefore recognised and appreciated by the coeliac community.

The beauty of the lake and the pleasure of fine food: an outstanding combination that allows you to fully appreciate our dishes, prepared with fresh, good quality and, above all, natural ingredients.

“Cooking is a love story. You need to fall in love with the produce and then with the people cooking it.”

Flavours & Atmosphere

Our aim is to make every single dish unique, from the raw ingredients through to the very final touches, before the dish leaves the kitchen and arrives at your table. We want to make everything that we serve you, for lunch or dinner, a truly special experience.
We’re passionate about our work and make every effort to please

it’s not for us

to decide

We are pleased and proud to say that our restaurant has been awarded as many as five Certificates of Excellence, five years running, from TripAdvisor, thanks to your wonderful reviews, and we hope to continue to delight your palate and leave you with a satisfied stomach!

“A restaurant is a performance – a kind of live performance, in which the diners are the most important members of the cast.

“I was here on Easter Day with my husband, who’s a coeliac. Apart from the excellent food, I was impressed by the attention given to my husband’s intolerance; but even more impressed by the fact that he was given a suitable menu that was not that different from mine, and which did not make him feel “different”, as is often the case. This is what you call hospitality.”

We’ve eaten here on several occasions, also with coeliac grandchildren and friends, and have always appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and the value for money. We recommend this restaurant to foodies.”
